In addition, I show students the work of Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely. Students love this project and it is always successful. I have done this project in person and virtually, and it can be a great sub plan.

Frank Lloyd Wright Window design Worksheet

Create a beautiful stained glass window design in the style of Frank Loyd Wright. Using his concept of organic architecture students should be influenced by nature to create an abstract design. This can be done in class or virtually with just about any material. I have even done it on transparencies with sharpie or watercolor mixed with bar soap. Just add it to your Google classroom, or as a sub plan for 2-3 classes of high-level art making. Would pair great with Youtube videos on Frank Lloyd Wright or the PBS documentary.

This is a digital worksheet that I use to teach students about graphic design and creating a magazine cover. Students create their own design based on their interests. They use the free program Canva which is very intuitive and has many options. We finish the project by answering these 3 questions: Name a magazine that inspired you. Describe the clientele or regular purchaser of your magazine. Why do you think someone might pick up this magazine? This can be done in person with individual iPads or chromebooks, or at home. File includes PDF, word doc and example image
